AeroComm works to restore NY area cellular service

AeroComm,  a wireless engineering company based in Englewood Cliffs,

NJ, has been working with cellular providers to restore cellular phone service in the World Trade Center area and lower Manhattan since last Wednesday (12 September). AeroComm has deployed infrared links for several cellular providers to replace lost T1 lines, and reconfigured other systems.
AeroComm is also working with the Port Authority to restore and improve coverage of its 800MHz radio system after the loss of its primary communications site located at the World Trade Center.
