Alpha Industries introduces a directional detector for mobile phones covering frequencies from 650 MHz to 2.4 GHz. The DD01-92 is an integrated directional detector designed for high-volume applications. Packaged in a small footprint-a SC-88 (6-lead SC-70) package-the DD01-92 incorporates a directional coupler and two GaAs Schottky diodes on a monolithic GaAs chip to generate a DC voltage of about 200 mV with a 1.8 GHz input signal of 10 mW and handles power levels up to 4 W. The diode paid allows the DD01-92 to be temperature compensated.
