Driver amplifier for fiber optic modulators

Celeritek announces a new driver amplifier for external fiber optic modulators targeting higher bandwidth applications and data rates greater than 13 Gb/s. The new model CMM3030-BD wideband GaAs driver amplifier complements the company's previous model, the CMM3020-BD. The amplifier gives fiber optic systems designers a combination of wideband frequency coverage along with an improved eye diagram, flat response, and low internal jitter. The device is a precision PHEMT GaAs MMIC, medium power, +23 dBm amplifier that operates from 30 kHz to 30 GHz with a linear 10 dB gain response. Typical output voltage is 7.5V peak-to-peak.
