Dual-channel LMDS synthesizer
ITT Industries, Microwave Systems, introduces a high-performance, dual-channel synthesizer. The MS-2000 is a Ku-band device that uses an internal oscillator and dual upconverter blocks to provide a flexible exciter for wireless applications. Single channel configurations are also available. The low phase-noise internal oscillator is upconverted using dual phase-locked upconverter blocks. This architecture provides an alternative to YIG-based systems, while providing comparable performance. The digital interface uses the I superscript 2C format with other interfaces available on request. The MS-2000 requires a stable reference (onboard option available) and ñ12 VDC. The output and optional reference signals use a SMA connector, while the DC power and digital control are supplied via a 15 pin D subminiature connector. Reference frequency 50 MHz. The device features a power level of 9 dBm , a ñ 12 VDC Bias, LO1 outputs of 12.49 GHz (min.) 13.34 GHz (max.), LO2 outputs of 12.49 GHz (min.) 13.34 GHz (max.), a step size of 2.5 MHz, an output VSWR 2:1 and a spurious output/harmonics of -50 dBc. The device's operating temperature range is -33ø C to +70ø C.
