A series of low jitter, SAW-based, clock-smoothing/frequency translation VCOs have been introduced by Vectron International. The VS-500 series is SAW-stabilized devices that operate at the fundamental frequency of the internal SAW filter. The series features output frequencies from 155 MHz to 1 GHz, jitter as low as 3 ps RMS, typical for 622.080 MHz and 6 ps, rms typical for 155 MHz, 10K ECL, PECL logic levels and complimentary outputs.
