Low-power RFIC solution for CDMA handsets
Agilent Technologies announces the final links in the receiver line-up of active RFICs in its CDMAdvantage chipset for dual-band, tri-mode personal communications handsets. The new ICs will increase battery life with more reliable conversations under varying signal conditions. The set operates on 3.6 V nominal (one lithium ion battery cell). The HPMX-7102 dual-band, tri-mode downconverter MMIC is for mobile phone handsets that operate interchangeably with 800 MHz and 1900 MHz CDMA and conventional AMPS services. The MGA-71543 low-noise amplifier incorporates a bypass switch that disables its gain without disturbing circuit-matching.
