Small form factor fiber receiver
Anadigics introduces an integrated fiber receiver designed for use in small form factor (SFF) modules for Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel fiber optic networks. The AMT128503T56F offers systems designers a high-performance solution for 850 nm systems in a small TO-56 package suitable for SFF modules, enabling increased board density in next-generation datacom transceivers. It consists of a monolithically integrated metal-semiconductor-metal (MSM) diode and a transimpedance amplifier (TIA) integrated in a small TO056 package. The device offers typical sensitivity of -22 dBm and a minimum responsivity of 1,000 V/W with a total power dissipation of about 120 mW. Operating from a 3.3 VDC supply, the device provides a minimum bandwidth of 1.0 GHz and features an on-chip automatic gain control circuit enabling it to handle optical input powers up to 0 dBm.
