RFIC switch targets low-voltage, portable designs

CEL has added a miniature SPDT switch to its line of NEC GaAs RFICs. The UPG2006TB features a 1.8 VDC control voltage, making it applicable for next-generation cellular phones, PCS and other L-and S-Band handset designs. The switch is designed for transmit/receive, antenna diversity and power level control applications. Key specifications include: a 1.8 VDC control voltage, input power of +20 dBm at 1.8 VDC (1 db compression), +23 dBm at 2.8 VDC (1 db compression), insertion loss of 0.45 db typ at 2.5 GHz and isolation of 25 dB typ at 2.5 GHz. Available on tape and reel, the device is housed in NEC's miniature 6-pin SOT-363-style TB package.
