Accommodating iOS and other mobile devices, Seagate’s unveils GoFlex Satellite mobile wireless storage, which it calls the first battery-powered external hard drive to wirelessly extend the storage capacity of any Wi-Fi-enabled device. Providing 500 Gbytes of capacity and Wi-Fi access over 802.11 b/g/n and a rechargeable battery, the addition to the GoFlex family can store an entire library of video, music, pictures, and documents, while making them accessible from anywhere. Devices wirelessly connect directly to the GoFlex Satellite drive via the free GoFlex Media app, available on iTunes and the Apple App Store. GoFlex Satellite is available immediately for preorder from the company’s website at www.seagate.com, or at the Amazon (www.amazon.com) and BestBuy (www.bestbuy.com) Web sites.
