Wi-Fi System Adds Extra Power Boost To Common WAP

Article Tools

The high-performance Wi-Fi system by D-LINK and Luxul Wireless will combine the D-LINK AirPlus Xtreme G access point with the Luxul Pro-Wav solution to expand overall wireless coverage by as much as 400%, according to the two companies.

Certified by the Federal Communications Commission, the system reaches the maximum allowable limits for range and signal strength, said AJ Wang, chief technology officer at D-LINK. The solutions will be available for the Pro-WAV 100, Pro-WAV 200, and select Pro-WAV Range Extender Kits.

D-LINK’s AirPlus Xtreme G is one of the company’s most popular wireless access points (WAP), says Wang. The Pro-WAV solutions work with the AirPlus Xtreme G to boost the device’s power with advanced polarization signal technology called Clear-WAV. The system allows for increased signal penetration, range, and clarity, which the companies say outperform traditional technologies.

Pro-WAV products are now available through Control4 dealers, and will be available through additional Luxul sales channels during the first quarter of 2010.
