ATIS and 3GPP will offer “LTE—Enabling Societal and Personal Communications for a Changing World,” on Tuesday, May 12 from 1 to 2 p.m. ET. According to the organizers, this free webinar will explore key issues shaping the next generation of mobile communications, such as its future standardization and its relevance to the public safety community. The webinar also will examine three areas that differentiate Long-Term Evolution (LTE) from current high-speed wireless solutions.

Regarding the first area, “A Market of One,” panelists will look into the personal communications experience and how it might differ for consumers and enterprise users. Addressing the second area, “New Business Paradigms for a World Without Walls,” participants will explore how to best service end users in an open-access ecosystem. Finally, in “LTE Enabling an Intimate Relationship between the Subscriber and the Carrier,” the webinar will illustrate how LTE will enable a more personal communications experience as well as the corresponding service provider opportunity.

Adrian Scrase, head of 3GPP’s Mobile Competence Center, and Chris Ebert, Nokia Siemens Networks’ head of 4G Strategic Marketing Programs, North America, will be the featured presenters. ATIS is the North American organizational partner for the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) as well as a member of the International Telecommunication Union Radio and Telecommunications’ Sectors. More than 300 companies participate in its 20 standards committees. To register for the webinar, go to
