Verizon Simplifies Mobile Web Access
Using Adobe’s Flash technology, Dashboard, from Verizon Wireless, is a graphically rich gateway to the company’s data products and services. Accessed by one click to the main menu, it serves as a portal for a faster and more comprehensive way to get to all of Verizon Wireless’s data services.
Verizon quietly launched Dashboard on the LG Chocolate 3, with more phones expected by the end of the year, according to mocoNews.net. The platform works alongside Verizon’s Get It Now platform and helps consumers find links to the mobile Web in addition to content from the carrier.
Users can launch Dashboard by pressing the up arrow on the four-way navigational button or by going to the phone’s menu and selecting News & Info. That brings up the Dashboard channel lineup. The consumer then uses the navigational button to move the carrousel from one channel to the other. The OK button selects the chosen channel, the Clr button goes back to the previous page, and the End button closes the session.
