E-Mail Application Eliminates Attachment Problems
The Symbian Foundation and Visiarc have launched Mobile Documents, a subscription-based streaming e-mail application for devices based on the Symbian operating system (OS). According to the companies, the streaming access makes Mobile Documents the first application to eliminate the inconvenience and data costs associated with downloading large e-mails and attachments.
With the application, users can immediately access documents that are stored on remote servers, attach them, and simply click send, the companies claim. Mobile Documents is designed to provide push notification and easy access to e-mail and documents anytime, anywhere, saving users time and data costs. It can be downloaded from m.mobiledocuments.com. A demonstration version is available for devices running on the Symbian^1 and Symbian^3 platforms with any IMAP account.
