iPhone App Connects Engineers To NXP Product Portfolio
With the NXP iPhone application, engineers can access NXP Semiconductors’ products and support easier and faster than ever before, according to the company. This free application enables engineers to search, buy, and share more than 10,000 products from NXP’s High Performance Mixed Signal and Standard Products portfolio anytime, anywhere on their Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch (see the figure).
For example, engineers can browse and search the database of NXP products by product functions and part numbers to get product specifications. Product datasheets as well as application and packaging information also are available at the click of a fingertip. Customers can order parts via this application too. By selecting products for their shopping cart, they will be directed to the online stores of NXP’s worldwide distribution partners to complete the transaction within minutes.
Engineers also can use the application to share products specifications by e-mail or social media channels like Facebook or Twitter. The “My Favorite” function lets engineers keep track of product types they’re interested in. And, the “About NXP” function provides an overview of NXP’s worldwide sales offices, distribution networks (with map), and access to an online technical support form.
