Personalized 2D Barcodes Suit Marketing Campaigns
With MTag’s Tune Your Tag service, companies can brand their own 2D barcode tags with custom designs including full-color logos and other elements that capture their visual identities. Also, members of the general public will soon be able to submit their own original designs to MTag, and the best designs will be selected and shared via MTag’s Web site.
MTag offers 2D barcode creation and management as well as readers and applications for mobile phones and information platforms such as barcode and near-field communications (NFC). Its 2D barcode specification is already the official national standard in France and Poland, and its ready to deploy in Spain, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom.
Also, MTag’s reader technology has been developed for all mobile operating systems, including Windows Mobile, iPhone, Java, Android, Symbian, BlackBerry, and Brew, to reach the entire European mobile phone base. The mobiletag embedded software application enables mobile phones to read 2D barcodes or tags simply by using the phone’s camera.
When users take a picture of a tag, they’re automatically redirected to content, information, or a service. Such tags can be found on CDs, on movie posters, in magazines, and even in certain stores, enabling users to download pictures, videos, ringtones, and promotional information. Soon, they will be found at bus stops and subway stations. Tags can even be scanned from computer screens or kiosk displays.
