BelAir Networks has announced it is the first wireless mesh network provider to receive voice interoperability for enterprise wireless (VIEW) certification from SpectraLink Corp. The SpectraLink VIEW certification program is a partner program designed to ensure interoperability and maximum performance for enterprise Wi-Fi infrastructure products that support SpectraLink’s NetLink wireless telephones.

SpectraLink's VIEW certification program provides comprehensive lab testing of interoperability and performance of NetLink wireless telephones with BelAir Networks Wi-Fi infrastructure products to ensure compatibility in an enterprise environment. SpectraLink has certified the four-radio BelAir200 wireless multiservice switch router, the dual-radio BelAir100 multiservice node and the single-radio BelAir50C.

“Interoperability with Wi-Fi mesh networks allows us to address many customers’ need for both outdoor and indoor coverage, as well as broaden our reach into new markets,” said Masood Garahi, SpectraLink CTO and executive vice president of engineering. “BelAir Networks’ commitment to delivering high-quality voice support on their mesh networks makes them an important partner for SpectraLink.”

“SpectraLink’s VIEW certification underscores our commitment to providing the industry’s best voice support in a multiservice mesh network,” said Jim Freeze, SVP of marketing and alliances for BelAir Networks. “Voice services are key to building a strong business case for wireless mesh networks.”

With thousands of wireless mesh nodes operating in more than 200 deployments worldwide – including the city of London and Toronto – BelAir Networks mobile wireless mesh networking products are field proven, delivering high-performance broadband quad-play services (voice, video, data and mobility) for municipal, residential and business applications.
