Microwave Backhaul Equipment Showcased
Attendees at two international trade shows will get a chance to examine the latest licensed and unlicensed fixed wireless microwave communication systems from Trango Systems. The company will display the microwave backhaul equipment at the Carrier Ethernet World Congress, Sept. 22-25, in Berlin, Germany, and the WiMAX World 2008 Conference and Expo, Sept. 30-Oct. 2, in Chicago.
Among the products highlighted will be the TrangoLINK Giga licensed split-architecture Ethernet/TDM-native RF microwave link system. The Giga is currently shipping for 6-, 11-, 18-, and 23-GHz applications and will soon be available in a ETSI version, including 15 GHz. Also on display will be the TrangoLINK Apex, a licensed all-outdoor Ethernet-native RF microwave radio. Apex is shipping in an 18-GHz model and will be available for the same licensed frequencies as TangoLINK Giga.
The company will also showcase its TrangoLINK-45, an unlicensed 5-GHz multiband OFDM wireless Ethernet bridge. TrangoLINK-45 is approved for operation in Europe and other regions that adhere to the ETSI standards, including Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia Pacific Rim. The highly adaptable equipment is also available in versions that are approved for operation in Canada (Industry Canada-certified), the U.S. (FCC-certified), and other international markets (OEM models).
