Analog component supplier appoints new vp for worldwide sales
Analog component supplier Inphi Corporation has appointed Ron Torten to the new position of vice president of worldwide sales. Reporting directly to Inphi’s president and CEO Young Sohn, Torten assumes responsibility for the company’s entire sales organization, which includes an extensive network of direct and independent sales organizations, manufacturer’s representatives and distributors in North America, Europe and Asia.
"Ron is a seasoned executive with broad industry knowledge, leadership skills and business relationships," stated Sohn. "He will be the driving force in executing our worldwide sales strategy, added Sohn.
Torten brings more than 10 years of executive and general management experience to Inphi. He comes to Inphi from NemeriX where he served as CEO. Prior to that Torten was vice president, worldwide materials at Agilent Technologies. His other previous experiences include vice president and general manager for the networking and entertainment division of Agere Systems, and product marketing at Quantum Corporation.
Torten holds a bachelors degree in chemical engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, and a masters in Business Administration from the University of California, Davis.
