Android Development Kit Embraces MIPS Architecture

Release 8 of MIPS Technologies’ Android Native Development Kit (NDK) includes support for the MIPS architecture. Most Android apps are portable and available for MIPS-based devices, though a few can score a performance boost via native code. Developers using native code can generate it for execution on MIPS-based Android devices with the NDK. Release 8 includes all necessary tools, system headers, libraries, and debugging tools. To download the NDK, go to http://developer.android.com/sdk/ndk/index.html.
