PointGrab’s software, which gives any device with a 2D camera gesture-recognition functionality, is now compatible with the beta version of Windows 8.

Software developer PointGrab Ltd. has upgraded its hand-gesture-recognition software for compatibility with the beta version of Windows 8. Providing a natural user interface (NUI) hand-gesture environment, the updated version works in synergy with the Metro UI in Windows 8 and adds plenty of customizable touch-less hand gestures, including swipe, select, one-hand zoom, thumbs up, and fist, which any internal 2D camera can detect. It is available for systems employing either Intel or ARM-based processors. For more info, visit www.pointgrab.com/?p=274.
