Thin-film low-pass filters target high frequencies
A series of thin film low-pass filters (LPFs) from State of the Art (SOTA) is part of the company’s high-frequency product line. These LPFs are available on 99% alumina substrate constructed using high-stability thin-film planar technology, and 50 Ω terminations are available for either solder of epoxy mounting. These devices are available with passband cutoffs at 5.5 GHz, 7 GHz and 8 GHz.
Maximum rejection is greater than 16 dB, VSWR characteristics are less than 1.4:1, and insertion loss is less than 0.5 dB. The LPFs are available in several standard designs and custom cut-off frequencies. Packaged in a sub-miniature case, pricing is under $1.90 in OEM quantities.
