Noise source is economical
NoiseWave is offering a new coaxial noise source for noise figure measurements, built in test applications, and jamming. The NW2G-CS coaxial noise source is available in 6, 15 and 30 dB excess noise ratios (ENRs). And features a small profile housing of 0.75 x 0.5 x 1.25 inches, excluding connectors. Consequently, it is aimed at applications where space is at a premium.
The unit’s flatness is better than ±1.0 dB over the frequency range 10 kHz to 2 GHz and comes with calibrated cardinal ENR frequencies. The NW2G-CS is available with a variety of connectors. Standard operation is from +28 Vdc with a 20 mA maximum current draw.
According to the manufacturer, the NW2G-CS is economically priced and delivery is typically from stock. Alternative voltages, output levels and frequencies are also available, said NoiseWave.
Applications for the NoiseWave NW2G-CS include built in test equipment, Noise Figure testing, jamming and as an economical source for broadband power.
