SDK Supports New Ad Formats On The iPad

The latest version of the Smaato iSOMA software development kit (SDK) is now available for iPad applications and mobile Web sites. It will support multiple new ad formats including the universal ad package (UAP) of the iab, which is the online association that sets the standards for the online advertising economy. It also will support the Mobile Marketing Association’s mobile ad formats, including new rich media banner formats.

As media companies announce applications for the iPad, they will rely on new advertising formats that will add multimedia functions like video and sound. To gauge the performance of these ads, Smaato’s Advanced Mobile Analytics will be included in the iPad SDK. According to the company, it provides a comprehensive set of tools that enable mobile publishers to optimize their inventory for the iPad to maximize user experience and insights.
