HSPA+ Software Libraries Enhance CEVA-XC DSP
HSPA+ software libraries added to the CEVA-XC DSP from CEVA promise to significantly shorten time-to-market for multimode HSPA/HSPA+/LTE/LTE-A modem designs. Now part of the CEVA-XC Software-Defined Radio reference architecture, the libraries enable implementation of software-based multimode SPA/HSPA+/LTE/LTE-A solutions. Of note, support for HSPA and HSPA+ is necessary to provide backward 3G compatibility. CEVA’s HSPA+ software libraries support up to HSPA+ 3GPP Rel-8 worst-case conditions including multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and 64-state quadrature amplitude modulation (64QAM) and enable peak downlink data rates of 42 Mbits/s on one processor. They address the complex receiver parts including channel estimation, equalization, de-mapping, de-interleaving, and de-rate matching.
