Transfer switches handle frequencies up to 40 GHz
Electromechanical coaxial and waveguide switch manufacturer Dow-Key Microwave, a subsidiary of Dover Corp., has released a new transfer switch with 2.9-mm connectors. Capable of handling frequencies up to 40 GHz, the P/N 411CY-4311 is offered with a latching or failsafe actuator. Both versions are available with actuator coils designed for 12, 15, 24, and 28 V. Switching time is 20 ms (maximum).
Designed for ATE applications, the P/N 411CY-4311 transfer switches offer reliability and isolation and low insertion loss. For instance, for frequency range from dc to 6 GHz, the transfer switch offers VSWR (maximum) of 1.3:1 with maximum insertion loss of 0.3 dB and minimum isolation of 70 dB. Likewise, the member with a frequency range of 26.5 – 40 GHz offers VSWR (maximum) of 1.9:1, maximum insertion loss of 0.9 dB and 55 dB of minimum isolation.
