InGaP HBT power amplifiers support 28 V operation
WJ Communications has launched a new family of next-generation high-efficiency RF power amplifier modules, using a 28 V InGaP HBT (GaAs) process technology. The module operates across the 800 MHz to 2200 MHz frequency range. The AP601, AP602 and AP603 enable cellular base station system designers to reduce power consumption while maintaining a high performance level.
The AP60x power amplifiers offer excellent linearity, and the linearity will rapidly improve below 50 dBc as power is reduced. Integrated active bias circuitry compensates for variations in linearity and current draw over temperature. The module is useable over a 24 V to 32 V supply range and is available in a 5 mm x 6 mm plastic package.
