Anritsu Announces EDGE Evolution Test Solution
Anritsu Company has developed a pair of measurement software packages that, when teamed with the firm's hardware test equipment, forms the company's first EDGE Evolution test solution. The two software packages are written for the MS269xA series of signal analyzes to support measurements on 2.5G GSM/EDGE and G EDGE Evolution (EGPRS2) mobile phone systems. The software allows the analyzer to measure the RF transmitter characteristics of EDGE Evolution base stations, mobile terminals, and the devices and components that enable them. By installing the MX269013A GSM/EDGE Measurement Software and the MX269013A-001 EDGE Evolution Measurement Software in an MS269xA Signal Analyzer, fast and accurate results are possible with out the added personal computer (PC).
With the new software, the MS269xA series can perform 10 modulation analyses in 1.5 seconds, 10 output RF spectrum measurements in about 2 seconds, and 10 power-versus-time measurements in about 2.5 seconds. The MS269xA Signal Analyzers support nearly all popular wireless technologies, including GSM, GPRS, EDGE, W-CDMA, mobile WiMAX, and LTE. The MS269xA’s wideband FFT analysis of 31.25 MHz (optionally up to 125 MHz) supports high-speed continuous measurements, including CCDF, frequency versus time, spectrum, and power versus time.
