IEEE Puts On Comm Event Extravaganza
From January 10 to 13, the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) will put on the 6th Annual IEEE Consumer Communications and Networking Conference (CCNC) in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event’s theme is “Empowering the Connected Consumer,” and will host over 400 engineers, researchers, product design specialists, and industry executives.
There will be around 300 technical workshops and sessions, demonstrations, and keynote lectures. These exhibits will address concepts such as the advancement of on-demand networking systems for entertainment and information services.
Industry experts such as Samsung’s executive vice president of new Generation System Technology and Products, Youngky Kim, Ph.D.; Jim Battaglia, vice president of strategic business development, Panasonic Research and Development Center; and Fred Kitson, Ph.D., the vice president of applications research at Motorola.
Some marquee presentations include: “Interactive-enable, Multi-Channel Live Teaching System,” “NAT Free Open-Source 3D Video Conferencing,” “noBounds: Mobile Device Interoperability,” “Interactive Voice Messaging for Heterogeneous Groups,” and “Project GeoTV: A Three Screen service for navigating SmartPhones, Browsing PCs and Watching HDTVs.”
