LTE PHY Reference Design Generates Small-Cell Basestations

Long-Term Evolution (LTE) software licensor for software defined radio (SDR) platforms mimoOn is collaborating with Texas Instruments on reference design using TI’s new TMS320CC66x DSP family, devices particularly suited for driving small cell basestations. They will work together on a complete physical layer (PHY) reference design for LTE Release 8 with extensions to Release 10. Since the processes of integrating, optimizing, and supporting LTE software are addressed, users can direct their efforts to building differentiation above the PHY.
