MagTek, Inc. announced the rollout of its MagneSafe Secure Readers with Bluetooth capability in conjunction with Magensa Services at eProcessing Network, LLC, a Houston, TX-based Payment Gateway. Additionally, Magensa LLC will provide eProcessing Network with secure, high-speed, transaction decryption services.

The MagTek MagneSafe BT-90 readers utilized by eProcessing Network’s merchants will communicate to eProcessing Network’s ePNMobile software through a secure, Bluetooth wireless connection. In addition, the BT-90 will fully encrypt all cardholder data utilizing industry standard 3DES and DUKPT encryption methodologies.

Data is never in the clear and meets all requirements of PCI DSS, thereby making eProcessing Network’s ePNMobile software fully compliant. Transaction data is fully encrypted from the moment the card is swiped. This secure message packet is routed from ePNMobile compatible Cell Phones and PDAs to their central host computer, and then delivered securely to Magensa for decryption.
MagneSafe readers provide an additional layer of security known as MagnePrint, which can authenticate the payment card to ensure it is not an altered or counterfeit card.
