Mobile Metrics Solution Provides Real-Time Data On Mobile Broadband Usage
Compuware Vantage for Mobile provides a real-time view of a customer’s mobile data services experience. The solution will allow increased subscriber retention, higher data average revenue per unit (ARPU), optimization of network investments, and improved customer experience, the company says.
Unlike existing network-centric management tools that only provide metrics on network performance and an aggregate view of subscribers, Vantage for Mobile addresses new challenges that require operators to understand individual subscriber experiences on mobile data services. With the service, network operations teams can identify areas for network expansion, customer support teams can quickly resolve issues, marketing teams can make informed business decisions, and customer retention teams can better understand customer renewal decisions.
Elisabeth Rainge, program director for network software at IDC, a marketing intelligence company, says data-centric devices are responsible for the massive growth in network traffic. By analyzing the way people use data services, providers can validate the large investments being made in developing reliable broadband networks.
Compuware also completed a market research study of 22 operators worldwide. The study says the root cause of reduced customer satisfaction, increased churn, and increased management costs is a lack of visibility into the subscriber experience of mobile data services.
