New oscilloscope provides debugging capability with up to 6 GHz of bandwidth
The LeCroy Corporation has introduced its WavePro 7, the first in a new product series in its new Zi Family of oscilloscopes. The launch represents the first deployment of LeCroy's next-generation chipset and latest streaming architecture, X-Stream II, enabling the WavePro 7 to deliver enhanced performance, speed and analysis capabilities. The WavePro 7 oscilloscope is said to be the only complete debug solution with up to 6 GHz of available bandwidth.
Le Croy's new chipset enables high fidelity signal capture and its new X-Stream II proprietary architecture delivers 10 to 20 times faster response rates.
The WavePro 7 incorporates a 15.3-inch, 16:9 high-definition display equipped with a touch screen. Its removable front panel allows engineers to place the control-pod next to the circuit under test. Its serial interface bus, LSIB, enables data to be transferred 10 to 100 times faster than with any other method. In addition, TriggerScan and WaveScan, are special modes for detecting rare events and thereby are likely to shorten the time required to debug a new design.
LeCroy has also launched a new line of serial data analyzers, its SDA 7 and its DDA 7 disk-drive analyzers, that feature the same speed, power and performance capabilities as the WavePro 7 Oscilloscope series.
