iPhone, iPod Learns Japanese
The Paragon Software Group made its Oxford Beginner’s Japanese Dictionary application available on the iPod Touch and iPhone. The software includes handy learning tools and the latest database from the Oxford University Press. It includes 10,000 words in Japanese to English, and 14,000 words in English to Japanese.
This app is optimized for beginners. It uses color-coded headwords and translations. The software uses warning symbols for potential translation problems and provides 5,000 English audio pronunciations.
The Oxford Beginner’s Japanese Dictionary application is available through Apple.com for $20 (€11.99). It is compatible for iPhone 2.0, 3G and iPod touch 2.0 or higher.
