Mobile Software Recognizes Fingertip Handwriting
PenReader Touch, an advanced multilingual handwriting recognition software application for mobile devices, allows users to write with their fingertips rather than a stylus. The program requires no additional training or handwriting adjustment and automatically recognizes handwritten words and converts them into type, according to developer Paragon Software Group.
Users can easily switch between 30 languages. The handwriting recognition engine immediately recognizes letters, numbers (including Arabic numbers), standard arithmetic and punctuation symbols, and several gestures that duplicate main keyboard function like shift and backspace. PenReader Touch also features fast recognition of pen strokes from any application window. It recognizes text written anywhere on the screen and pastes it to the current cursor position.
PenReader Touch is compatible with all Windows Mobile 6, 6.1 Classic and Professional, and Windows Mobile Pocket PC 5.0 devices. The software costs $39.95 (29.95 EUR).
