MoCA compliant bridge connects home entertainment network
Home entertainment systems provider Entropic Communications and D-Link, the end to
end networking solutions supplier, have partnered to bring MoCA enabled products to market. As a result, D-Link’s home networking MoCA compliant bridge DXN-220 with Entropic’s EN2210 chipset allows consumers to seamlessly link entertainment devices from room to room using existing coax wiring. The Ethernet-to-coax bridge reliably accesses and distributes digital video content, including multiple streams of high-definition (HD) video and audio without compromise, said the partners. Thus, the consumers can now easily stream video and audio from a PC to a television in another room. The DXN-220 provides connectivity, flexibility, and convenience, said D-Link.
D-Link's DXN-220 incorporates Entropic's EN2210 c.LINK chipset which enables a complete coaxial networking solution for the distribution of multiple streams of HD video, digital, voice, broadband data and other digital content. Since the DXN-220 leverages the coax wiring already installed in consumers' homes, it enables a fast, secure and robust network without the need for new wiring, modifications or professional installation.
According to D-Link, DXN-220 will be available late this quarter from select D-Link retail outlets as well as through its network of value-added resellers, and distributors.
