Schaller-Crestland School District deploys high-performance Wi-Fi
Xirrus Inc. and Schaller-Crestland School District have announced the district has selected Xirrus for its district-wide rollout of a high-performing Wi-Fi network. The initial deployment at the high school in Early will be expanded to the other district building in Schaller and is designed to provide students and faculty with a state-of-the-art wireless infrastructure for research and curriculum enhancement.
The Wi-Fi network will provide wireless access throughout each school for students, faculty and staff and will also provide residents of the local communities with free hotspot Wi-Fi Internet access. Schaller-Crestland School District is upgrading its wireless point-to-point links as part of an overall effort to make it the destination of choice for families who want their children to have access to the very best that technology has to offer.
The Xirrus Wi-Fi network will allow faculty to augment courses in a variety of subject matters including chemistry, physics, history and others using video-based educational applications and material.
