Mobile Backhaulers Score MEF Certification

Adtran’s Total Access 5000 Optical Networking Edge (ONE) Ethernet Transport Optical Switch (ETOS-1) solution and NetVanta 8044M now carry the Metro Ethernet Forum’s (MEF’s) Carrier Ethernet certification. Both offerings target service providers deploying mobile backhaul networks supporting higher 4G and Long-Term Evolution (LTE) bandwidths. The NetVanta 8044M Modular Ethernet Access Gateway teams with the Adtran Total Access 5000 to provide an end-to-end Ethernet access migration system including a single operational model. This topology enables service providers to operate effectively in any market while planning and deploying 3G/4G mobile networks. Both the NetVanta 8044M and the ONE are certified MEF 9 and MEF 14 compliant.
