Vodafone Offers HSPA+ Service In Greece
Vodafone Greece has announced mobile broadband services using HSPA+, with theoretical peak speeds of 21.6 Mbits/s (download) and 5.7 Mbits/s (upload). These upgraded services initially will be offered in selected areas of Athens and then continuously expanded. Vodafone Mobile Broadband subscribers who have the new USB stick Vodafone K4505 will be among the first subscribers to take advantage of the faster performance.
Earlier this year, Vodafone Greece offered 14.4 Mbits/s (download) and 2 Mbits/s (upload) through its upgraded HSPA network and the exclusive USB stick ONDA MV815UP. Overall, the company says that its average download and upload speeds are 20% and up to 90% higher than other providers’ networks, depending on cell usage and according to independent trials across all operators commissioned by Vodafone and conducted in a range of metropolitan areas.
