Single-chip WUSB solution receives Japanese regulatory certification
Wisair’s WSR601, a single-chip CMOS Wireless USB (WUSB) solution, has received Japanese regulatory certification. The chip features out-of-band emission below –70 dBm/MHz, and is compliant without the need for band-3 filtering. The Japanese certification follows upon the chip successfully passing WiMedia PHY compliance and interoperability tests, and being designated as a registered PHY in the WiMedia integrators’ list.
“Wisair is making tremendous headway since introducing the WSR601 single chip in July,” said David Yaish, CEO of Wisair. “In addition to being approved for the Japanese market, the single-chip will enable OEMs to deliver the same products (single SKU) for both the Japanese and U.S. markets.”
