xDSL filter is compatible with VDSL2 to 30 MHz

Designed for networks in Europe, Asia and South America, Pulse, a Technitrol Company, has released its Excelsus brand Z-301LS in-line xDSL filter. Small and economical, the Z-301LS is compatible with VDSL2 and can filter frequencies up to 30 MHz. It improves the performance of digital subscriber line (DSL) and home phoneline network (HPN) services by filtering all telephone sets, facsimile machines, answering machines, and other phoneline services through a single line while providing optimal voice band performance. It is specifically suited for telephone networks in Asia, Europe, and South America, said Pulse.

The lightweight 51.3 mm length x 19.6 mm width x 19.0 mm high Z-301LS is half the width of previous designs, according to the maker. It has good intermodulation distortion performance which allows the maximum possible VDSL2 data rates. The 600 Ohm return loss is greater than 14 dB for excellent voice quality and minimal echo, stated Pulse.

The Z-301LS comes with a standard RJ11 connector and is easily installed. The filter is CE certified and is RoHS compliant. Detailed specifications are available in the datasheet EX101 on the Pulse website.
