RF Micro Devices' new high-efficiency linear power amplifier (PA) module - the RF5184 – is the newest addition to RFMD's PA portfolio. Specifically designed to be the final RF amplifier in high-performance WCDMA wireless handheld devices, it is a dual-band product that supports Region 2 (1850 MHz to 1910 MHz) and Region 5/6 (824 MHz to 849 MHz). This product is in conjunction with the RF5198 single-band PA for Region 1 (1920-1980MHz).

Key Features of the RF5184 include internal matching at 50 Ω, Region 2 Pout of 28 dBm with +/-40 dBc ACLR at 5 MHz and Region 5 Pout of 28 dBm with +/-41 dBc ACLR at 5 MHz. The module is also HSDPA capable and dc-dc converter-compatible.
