Agilent App Accelerates 4G Systems

Raising performance levels in emerging wideband standards, i.e., LTE-Advanced and IEEE 802.11ac, the latest release of Agilent’s W1716 Digital Pre-Distortion (DPD) Builder software creates an interactive RF/baseband platform for 4G modeling by linking baseband DPD algorithms with wideband test equipment, standard references, and RF EDA software. The software links to Agilent’s PXI Modular instruments to enable a wideband stimulus/response platform for interactive DPD modeling. The hardware-and-software platform integrates 4G-ready DPD algorithms for both PA modeling and pre-distortion, a step-by-step DPD modeling graphical user interface, optional, standards-based reference libraries for LTE-Advanced, 802.11ac, WCDMA, OFDM, and crest factor reduction, calibrated stimulus/response measurement platform with up to 250 MHz of bandwidth expandable to 800 MHz, and integration with RF EDA design tools. The W1716 Digital Pre-Distortion Builder is an application add-on to the Agilent SystemVue environment. SystemVue 2011.10 is expected to be available in late October. Pricing for the SystemVue environment starts at approximately $17,000. For more details, visit www.agilent.com/find/eesof-systemvuedpd-builder.
