Darlington amplifier gain blocks cover DC to 6 GHz

Aeroflex/Metelics has introduced eight InGaP HBT Darlington amplifier gain blocks covering the frequency range from DC to 6 GHz. Designed with Aeroflex/Metelics'Darlington feedback amplifier design, the amplifiers offer OIP3 up to +38 dBm with the P-1 dB compression ranging from +11 dBm to +20 dBm. The series covers the gain from 12 to 18 dB measured at 2 GHz. These devices are suitable as general-purpose gain blocks and driver amplifiers for use in present and third-generation telecom infrastructure requirement.

The key features are highest linearity and best gain flatness, allowing for a typical of 95 dB of spur-free dynamic range (SFDR). The device is characterized for 5 and 7 V. They are offered in a commercially available surface-mount SOT89 and 20*12 mm (2012) package.

Evaluation board optimized to customer's bias and frequency of operation are available for $75.00. Samples for each amplifier listed are available on request, according to Aeroflex/Metelics.
