The Bluetooth Special Interest Group has recognized the BITE T1111 RF Test System from AT4 wireless for the testing of Bluetooth low-energy products. The instrument supports transmission and reception test cases as defined by the latest Bluetooth low-energy RF PHY Test Specification. The low-energy option enables users to verify all low-energy characteristics required by the specification. This lets manufactures test prototypes in advance of the official Bluetooth specification.

The test cases that are included verify output power, in-band emissions, modulation characteristics, carrier frequency offset and drift, receiver sensitivity, C/I and receiver selectivity performance, blocking, intermodulation, and maximum input-signal level. AT4 wireless checked the test cases against real Bluetooth low-energy products.

In the verification and debugging of the new BITE T1111 Test System functionality, the company co-operated closely with CSR, the Bluetooth specialists based in Cambridge, England. The BITE T1111 is available now.
