Test Contactor Targets RF/Microwave Devices
The Pad ROL 100A series test contactor from Johnstech International Corp. targets RF and microwave communication devices like RF amplifiers and transceivers used in WiMAX, 3G, and 4G wireless systems. It offers greater than 40-GHz electrical performance to meet the industry’s most demanding engineering and production test needs, according to the company. Also, its contact design provides excellent electrical and mechanical results for testing quad flat no-lead (QFN) and dual flat no-lead (DFN) packages, Johnstech says.
The company’s patented ROL technology provides a self-cleaning wipe action that breaks through oxides to allow longer intervals between cleaning. Also, it increases load board pad life, improves overall equipment effectiveness, creates consistent and repeatable contact resistance, and lowers customers’ overall cost of test. It suits manual device evaluation, prototyping, and characterization test, which translates to reliable and repeatable performance results on the production test floor.
The Pad ROL 100A series is included in Johnstech’s online SelecTest program, which provides proven designs, load board documents at the time of quote, and a savings of up to $400 less than custom designs. The contactor offers less than 25-nH ground inductance and 3-A current carrying capability.
