The ACE MX channel emulator from Azimuth Systems is the test solution of choice for Airspan Networks (see the figure). Airspan will use the emulator for the TX/RX testing of Air4G products and the Long-Term Evolution (LTE) eNodeB basestation, with particular attention on multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) performance and interoperability. As per Azimuth Systems, the ACE MX emulator replicates real-world channel conditions in a controllable and repeatable environment using channel models and multiple programmable parameters. In addition to meeting the requirements of MIMO-based and OFDM-based (orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing) systems, it also provides backwards-compatible channel emulation for 2G/3G products.
