The result of partnering, Cognovo enables the use of its software-defined modem development platform (SDM-DP) with Rohde & Schwarz’s CMW500 wideband radio communication tester. Once Layer 1 control and data (physical layer) processing has been integrated and validated against reference tests vectors using the Cognovo software development kit, users can move directly to protocol stack integration and conformance testing with the CMW500 tester. The Cognovo’s SDM can support numerous cellular wireless interfaces without the need for specific ASIC hardware. Configured only by software, it supports all standards up to Long-Term Evolution (LTE). Cognovo’s SDM-DP includes a modem compute engine with external I/O for debug, trace, and test peer connectivity, which is functionally equal and cycle accurate to the target silicon.
