Aiding those who install and troubleshoot RF/microwave systems, Agilent’s field-ready N9344C and N9343C handheld spectrum analyzers provide a measurement range from 1 MHz to 20 GHz and 1 MHz to 13.6 GHz, respectively (see the figure). Both instruments are tunable to 9 kHz. Other shared features include a fanless design, automatic LCD brightness, a GPS receiver with antenna, USB/LAN interface, an RF performance of –155 dBm/Hz DANL with a minimum sweep time of less than 2 ms, one-button measurements, and AM/FM modulation analysis. Additionally, both analyzers include a Task Planner function that, according to Agilent, reduces test setup time by 95% percent. Prices for the 20-GHz N9344C and 13.6-GHz N9343C are $19,962 and $16,978, respectively.
