TD-LTE-SCDMA Inter-RAT Test Cases Speed Dual-Mode Handset Development
Teaming up, Anite and ZTE have developed what they’re calling the first TD-LTE-SCDMA Inter-RAT test cases, which they claim will speed up the availability of dual-mode handsets. The conformance test cases will enable chipset manufacturers and handset vendors developing dual-mode TD-LTE/TD-SCDMA devices to begin immediate testing. They are part of Anite’s Conformance Toolset, which is considered an industry standard for LTE conformance testing. The toolset, the first platform approved by the Global Certification Forum (GCF) for TD-LTE, tests individual protocol stack layers to ensure compliance with industry standards. It employs a scalable architecture, making it viable for testing numerous 3GPP technologies, i.e., GSM, EDGE, W-CDMA, and HSPA+ and LTE.
