The Agilent PXT wireless communications test set is now available for testing voice quality on Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) 4G phones with the Brüel & Kjær PULSE Audio Analyzer and Head and Torso Simulator (HATS).

The Agilent Technologies PXT wireless communications test set melds with the Brüel & Kjær PULSE Audio Analyzer and Head and Torso Simulator (HATS) for testing voice quality on Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) 4G phones (see the figure). The Agilent and Brüel & Kjær system combines standards-based test methods with real-world basestation emulation, RF test, and functional test. The PULSE Audio Analyzer and HATS system support tests based on common international standards like ITU-T P.862 PESQ, 3GPP2, and 3GPP. Providing flexible basestation/network emulation, the PXT wireless communication test set handles RF parametric and functional tests. Teamed with Agilent’s E6966A IMS-SIP Network Emulator Software, it enables VoLTE phones to make end-to-end voice and video calls using a range of industry standard codecs.
